What DashPass Benefits Do Eligible Chase Cardholders Receive?
Chase and DoorDash have been partnered up and offering eligible Chase cardholders a complimentary DashPass subscription since 2020. Each year the benefit has been set to expire—with 2024 being no different—but has always been extended. As per usual, Chase and DoorDash announced an extension but this time it’s for three full years, making a complimentary Chase DashPass now good through 2027.
New and existing eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders can receive a free DashPass subscription through December 31, 2027.
- Existing cardholders who already have free Chase DashPass will automatically continue to receive the benefit.
- New cardholders, or members who have not registered, can sign up through the official link and can enjoy the benefit through December 31, 2027.
If you have a Chase card in the Freedom® or Slate® family, you can still enroll in the current DashPass benefit until January 31, 2025. This benefit includes three free months of DashPass followed by autoenrolling at a 50% discount of the regular priced membership for nine months. Starting February 1, 2025, new enrollees will receive six months of complimentary DashPass followed by autoenrollment in a paid membership. That doubles the months of complimentary membership, but it doesn’t appear that a discounted membership period will follow.
What’s New for Chase and DoorDash?
Brand new promotions are now in effect for nearly all Chase credit cardholders. If your card qualifies for one of these new discounts, you’ll see it applied at checkout on eligible orders after you’ve enrolled in the Chase DashPass benefit.
Credit Card | New Benefits |
---|---|
Chase Sapphire Reserve® | Two up to $10-off promos each calendar month at checkout on grocery, convenience, or other nonrestaurant orders on DoorDash Card members will continue to receive a $5 monthly DoorDash in-app credit good through January 31, 2025. Beginning February 1, 2025, they will get a new monthly $5 off benefit for restaurant orders on DoorDash |
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card | Up to $10 off each calendar month at checkout on one grocery, convenience or other nonrestaurant order on DoorDash |
Freedom® and Slate® Cards | Up to $10 off each quarter on one grocery, convenience or retail order through DoorDash |
Co-Branded Cards (Southwest® Rapid Rewards® credit cards; United credit cards; IHG One Rewards credit cards; Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia Plus Visa Signature® cards; Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card* and the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card*; The World of Hyatt Credit Card; Disney® Visa® cards) | Up to $10 off each quarter credit on one purchase at grocery, convenience or retail orders through DoorDash |
Does This Mean I Should Apply for a New Chase Card?
When considering a new credit card, think of it like dining at your favorite restaurant. The added monthly savings are your dessert—a sweet bonus everyone enjoys. But the main course is the reason you’re there and it includes your card’s rewards, fees and key benefits that can boost your finances and help you achieve your goals.
In short, you probably shouldn’t apply for a new Chase card strictly for the DashPass benefit. But if you have an eligible Chase card or were already considering getting a new one, make sure to take advantage of Chase DashPass and its benefits if you haven’t already.
